Let’s talk summer plans and goals! For me this year, most of my plans and goals are self-care related in one way or another. For one, I am investing in some new, high-quality skincare and going to work on my skin. I have had severe acne for a long time, and this is the first time since it started that I feel like my skin is in a good place. I still get some acne around my mouth from time to time, but that’s nothing compared to what it used to be like. Because of that, I really need to focus on my skin barrier, which was all but destroyed during my acne journey. In that same vein, I want to work on my hair care. I’m getting married in seventeen months, so I have that long to look how I want to in the pictures that I will one day show my children. Also in that same trio, I want to commit to trying out the gym this summer. I am not healthy, and I do not look how I would like to, so I would like to give calisthenics a try. I want to be strong and toned, and that’s what I think will help me the most.
Outside of physical changes, I want to work through my reading list. I am almost done with Caraval, so next is the Once Upon a Broken Heart series. After that, I want to read The Handmaid’s Tale and Wuthering Heights. Depending on my speed in reading through those, I may also try reading through Anne of Green Gables or the Poppy War trilogy, but Poppy War may need to be moved to my winter reading list because Fall is already full with my Maasverse reread in time for the new ACOTAR book in October. I also want to read through the Apothecary Diaries and Tokyo Ghoul. I also have a whole movie and anime watch list I need to get through. My fiancé and I also discussed going through Doki Doki Literature Club again, as well as Elden Ring for the first time for me. I also need to do a full house deep clean and mass donation, which leads to my final goal of buying a new wardrobe. I want clothes that I actually like and will actually wear, although that likely will not happen until the fall due to summer teacher finances. I only have sixty-nine days of summer. So this list is practically impossible, but it’s good to have plans and goals even if I can’t complete them all. What do you think your summer plans and goals look like? Please let me know in the comments!
